Kept, after the film is done.

Footage cannot be deleted from AeroSync, by anyone, and every version is kept. A year later you can still say what you hold, down to the clip, and who did what with it.

Nothing deleted, by anyone.

Each film is kept in its own store, locked as it is made, so footage once arrived cannot be removed: not by the crew, not by the producer, not by AeroSync.

  • Every version kept. A file sent again does not replace the one before it.
  • The originals archived. Camera files go into the archive as they arrive; the edit works from proxies.
  • Your own files are yours. Files a person adds can be deleted by them or the producer, after asking; the line stays on the record.
  • Even unpaid, never deleted. A film left unpaid is moved to deep archive after 90 days, not removed.

Years go by. The file does not change.

The film's Activity: Nothing has been changed, 385 lines, each with when, who and what.

A record of the film that cannot be changed.

Every action on the film is a line on its Activity: who, what and when, in words. Lines are only ever added; the page checks itself and says Nothing has been changed.

  • Exported whole. The record, as a file, for the producer, the insurer or the studio.
  • A clip's own story. When it arrived, who sent it, what it was checked against, who has watched it.

The list of what you hold.

Export the film's inventory for any run of shoot days: every file, its size, where it stands, and what it was checked against. The answer to what do we have?, in one file.
